Hi Teachers,
Welcome to Jump Rope for Heart! We're thrilled to have you on board for this journey of fun, fundraising, and heart-healthy excitement. Over the next few weeks, leading up to your Jump Event and beyond, we'll be sharing a series of four emails packed with valuable insights, inspiration and practical tips to help you plan and execute an unforgettable Jump Rope for Heart program for your students!
JUMP YOUR WAY
Jump Rope for Heart is your chance to unleash your creativity and shape your Jump experience to fit your school's unique personality and schedule. Whether you want to transform your playground into an action-packed arena or keep it simple with fun activities during gym class, the choice is yours! We have a treasure trove of resources to help you along the way.
To get your creative gears turning, we wanted to share a fantastic example from St. Gregory Catholic School that rocked Jump Rope for Heart last year. Teacher Coordinator, Stephanie shared that on Event Day, they host their event outside creating different activity stations to get students moving (think skipping, hula hoops, relay races, obstacle courses, and more!). After their event, they host a school assembly where they present a slideshow with pictures to recognize staff, students, and family efforts! Stephanie says, “Everyone gets so creative with how they raise funds from bake sales to a staff salad bar!”.
Whatever you do to make Jump special this year, be sure to take pictures and submit your story to our “Share & Inspire” contest, presented by Desjardins, for your chance to win the $5,000 grand prize or five additional prizes of $1,000. Click here to learn more!
PERSONALIZE YOUR SCHOOL PAGE
Now, let's dive into the exciting world of online fundraising! We've prepared a step-by-step resource to ensure you make the most of your school's fundraising page. You can personalize your page, share an inspiring story and update your photo to create excitement for your school and community.
EDUCATE YOUR STUDENTS ABOUT THE EASY HEALTHY HABITS
Jump Rope for Heart isn't just about raising funds; it's also an opportunity to teach your students healthy habits and the importance of taking care of their hearts and brains. This year we have some fun and engaging new resources to help bring EASY Healthy Habits to life in your classrooms. Click here to learn more!
Stay tuned for our next email where we'll share some fabulous ideas to kick off your event.

Hi Teachers,
Excitement is in the air as we approach your Jump Rope for Heart kick-off event! Your kick-off is where you will share the Jump Rope for Heart program with your students and generate excitement to start fundraising and tracking healthy habits online.
HOST A KICK-OFF ASSEMBLY
One way to get started is by hosting a Kick-Off Assembly for the entire school. It's a chance to rally your students, spread enthusiasm, and set the stage for an incredible event. We've got you covered with engaging videos (gift/no gift) and PowerPoint resources. Get creative and encourage students and teachers to showcase their jumping skills! St. Gregory’s shares that to get the school excited they have some volunteers from their local high school join their Kick-Off Assembly to demonstrate some skipping skills!
BOOST SCHOOL SPIRIT
Another way to build excitement at your Kick-Off is by introducing Spirit Boosters —exciting milestones designed to reward and motivate your students as they progress toward their goals. Here are a few creative examples from other schools to spark your imagination:
ENGAGE OLDER STUDENTS
Jump Rope for Heart provides a fantastic opportunity for older students to showcase their leadership skills. Engage them in the event by forming a Jump student committee. These passionate students can help run the kick-off assembly, create posters, read school announcements, manage event-day stations and more! Not only will they gain valuable leadership experience, but they will also support you in making your event a resounding success. Check out our resource guide for ideas and inspiration on how to involve your Jump student committee.
NEXT STEP
Remember, after your Kick-Off Assembly, it's time to send the Parent/Guardian Letter (gift/no gift) home to inform families about your school's participation in Jump Rope for Heart and officially kick off the fundraising campaign. Encourage students and their families to embrace the opportunity to make a difference by supporting a cause close to their hearts—literally!

Hi Teachers,
Can you feel the excitement in the air? Your Event Day is only one week away, and we couldn't be more thrilled to celebrate with you and your amazing students!
CREATE SOME BUZZ
To spread the word and let parents know that Event Day is approaching, we've prepared a social media asset you can share on your school's social media channels or school webpage/app. Simply click here to access our social templates, download and save, and then spread the news far and wide. Remember to add a fun caption encouraging parents to support their children's fundraising efforts and join the excitement on Event Day.
PULLING & USING REPORTS
Our online reporting system allows you to gain valuable insights into your school's fundraising journey. Here's a How to Guide (coming soon) to help you access reports to learn who your school's top fundraisers are, what classroom is leading and who is tracking their healthy habits! You can use these insights to execute your Spirit Booster, create special announcements and award mystery prizes included in your registration kit.
EVENT DAY
Remember, Event Day is all about celebrating and having fun while promoting heart-healthy habits. Our Activity Guide has some fun ideas to make the day extra special! Your event day can be as a whole school, classroom-based, in Phys Ed classes or as an outdoor extravaganza. Please ensure diversity in activities to accommodate all children's abilities. Together, let's create an inclusive and joyful experience for every student.
And don’t forget to take lots of pictures and submit a minimum of 200 words about how you made Jump special to our “Share & Inspire” contest, presented by Desjardins, for your chance to win! Click here to enter!
We hope you have an amazing Event Day!
