Getting started with Jump Rope for Heart is easy with our step-by-step instructions below and many other resources to help achieve your fundraising goal.
1. Register Online
Set up your personal Jump Rope for Heart fundraising page with a picture and a few words about why you participate.
Looking for inspiration? Write about why Jump Rope for Heart is important to you and your family and whether you are jumping for someone impacted by heart disease or stroke.

2. Practice EASY Healthy Habits
Jump Rope for Heart is more than a fundraiser. At home and at school, kids learn EASY Healthy Habits to help protect their heart and brain health - for a lifetime!

E - Eat fruits and vegetables
A - Active for one hour or more
S - Screens for less than two hours
Y - Yes to water, no to sugary drinks
Track EASY Healthy Habits at home with our tracker (digital / printable) or play our EASY Online Challenge as a family.
3. Fundraise to beat heart disease and stroke
Every five minutes, someone in Canada dies from heart disease, stroke or vascular cognitive impairment. The money you raise is invested in world-class, life-saving heart and brain research that leads to medical breakthroughs.

- Register and personalize your students' fundraising page. Don't forget to set a goal!
- Share your students' fundraising goal with your friends and family! Your participant center has templates to get you started or check below.
- Share your Jump story on social media. Use our templates or create your own. Don't forget to include your fundraising link.
- Kick-start your students' campaign with a self-donation.
- Ask for a specific donation contribution. Don't forget to share updates with friends and family on how close you are to your goal.

FUNdraising with QR Codes
Take your fundraising to the next level with these simple steps:
- Download your QR code from your Participant Centre (instructions here) and save it to your photos.
- Print your QR Code and let your imagination run wild as you decorate and add a splash of color around your code to make it uniquely yours.
- Every interaction is a chance to raise awareness and funds! Share it with family and friends and ask them to scan your code using their smartphones to instantly access your dedicated fundraising page and donate!

Student Thank You Gift Cards
As a heartfelt thank you for your support, you will receive an online gift card* of your choice from one of the following retailers, based on your fundraising achievements: Indigo, Amazon, or Walmart.
*Gifts are non-cumulative. One Thank You Gift Card will be awarded based on total donations collected online. Offline funds will not be eligible for gift card prizes. Some participating schools reserve the right to opt-out of individual gift cards for students. Please check with your school to see if they are offering gift cards.

Earn Badges
When you fundraise online you can collect cool badges! Badges are displayed on your fundraising page for all your friends and family to see. This year there are 10 badges. Collect them all!
