The easiest way is to send each student home with a postcard on your Kick-off Day. These postcards are included in your Fundraising Kit along with a poster that you can hang in busy areas of your school.

We understand that every student is unique, and we're here to help you create an event that caters to all abilities. Please review our Event Day Activity Guide for fun activities with non-skipping options to ensure everyone can participate. You know your student body best, tailor your stations to their capabilities. If you’re unsure of how to engage certain students, consider consulting your school’s gym teacher, EA or nurse to assess children’s fitness abilities. 

Please note: a ropeless rope is included in your fundraising kit. They’re designed to be used without moving your legs and can be used with only one arm. The weighted design creates the same sensation as jumping, making it an inclusive, fun option for everyone! 

No, the GiveBack program was phased out as part of Heart & Stroke’s efforts to evolve and strengthen the Jump Rope for Heart experience. This decision allows more funds to be directed towards our mission to beat heart disease and stroke by teaching kids how to get active, funding life-saving research and supporting families and children impacted by these conditions.

These flexible, plug-and-play videos help build energy and excitement leading up to your Jump Rope for Heart Event Day while reinforcing the importance of movement for heart and brain health. They're designed to be fun, inclusive, and accessible for all students. 

Heart Hero Rewards are a collection of rewards, contests, and recognition opportunities available through Jump Rope for Heart. Students who reach eligible fundraising milestones can choose from a selection of digital gift cards, or they can choose to donate their reward back to Heart & Stroke and receive a Heart Hero Certificate. 

In addition to individual rewards, students and schools may also have opportunities throughout the year to participate in contests.

Heart Hero Rewards are delivered digitally directly to families. Approximately two weeks after your school's Jump Rope for Heart fundraising closes, eligible families will receive an email with instructions on how to select and redeem their reward. Parents/guardians can choose from available digital gift card options or a donate-back option, depending on the fundraising milestone achieved. 

No rewards need to be distributed by the school, making the process simple and convenient for teachers and school staff.

While we encourage everyone to fundraise online-first, we want to ensure all students have the chance to get involved and help others by fundraising to beat heart disease and stroke.  

We strongly encourage parents to support their children's fundraising efforts by asking for support from family, friends, work colleagues and close neighbours online. For tips on how to get started online, please visit Families' Corner.

2. Click the Participant Center button at the top of the page. Next, click on their fundraising page tile. 

3. Once on their fundraising page, click the ‘Share' button.

4. Copy your page link from the pop-up.

We offer electronic gift cards as a ‘thank you’ from Heart & Stroke for students hard work and to encourage them to stay physically active long after their Jump event.  

Gift cards are awarded to students who reach graduated fundraising levels, and we hope you redeem them for fitness-themed products.  

If your child’s school offers gift cards, you’ll receive an email to the address used to register your child 4-6 weeks after their Jump Event. This email will prompt you to visit the portal, enter your redemption code and select your online gift card from the available options: Indigo, Amazon.ca or Walmart.   

Indigo, Walmart and Amazon.ca cards are electronic gift cards that are emailed within 24-48 hours of your selection. 

All electronic gift cards can be redeemed online or in-store.

All online Thank You gift cards for National Jump Team participants will be ordered by June 30, 2026. Students on the National Jump Team can fundraise up until this date. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us.

No, the matching gift campaigns do not count towards prizes or incentives. Eligibility is based solely on your personal donation. However, this is a great way to double your impact in the fight to beat heart disease and stroke.
